things to do in Paris

Paris is abuzz with fireworks, networking + wine with INSPIRELLE, the Alvin Ailey dance troupe, and a British summer fest!

Bastille Day Celebrations

The City of Light lights up the night sky with its traditional July 14th fireworks at the Champs de Mars starting at 11 pm. Get there early to grab a seat and enjoy a classical music concert by the Orchestre National de France, beginning at 9 pm. For a more regal experience, catch the annual Louis XIV – The Fire King fireworks show at the Château de Versailles, which follows an open-air concert of Handel’s celebration music.

If a night out dancing is more your style, check out the traditional Firemen’s Balls on July 13 and 14 taking place in various stations across the city. Finally, everyone loves a parade, and this year’s military défilé on the Champs Elysées the morning of July 14th honors American soldiers who fought in World War I. President Donald Trump, the guest of honor this year, will watch alongside President Emmanuel Macron as American troops lead the parade and F16s from the USAF Thunderbird Patrol perform a Bastille Day “flyby.”

When: July 13-14, 2017
Where: Champs de Mars, Paris 75007. Chateau de Versailles, Place d’Armes, 78000 Versailles. Ave des Champs-Elysees, Paris 75008.
