Paris Gets Its Groove On
The 2nd edition of the festival Paris Music offers 4 days of concerts featuring international musicians in unusual venues across the city. Whether you love classical, pop, hip-hop, EDM or even jazz for children, you’re sure to find your favorite sound.

Whether you’re an inveterate gamer or a newbie, the exhibit Game, le jeu vidéo à travers le temps has some surprises in store. Laid out in reverse chronological order, the exhibit allows you to travel back in time to discover the history and evolution of a billion-dollar industry that has permeated our society. With over 60 video games on display, half of them playable – from Donkey Kong to virtual reality flights over Paris – this informative and interactive exhibit will make you see video games in a whole new light. You may never yell at your kids to put down their Game Boys again.

There’s nothing like seeing a movie on a big screen. But with ticket prices rising every year, sometimes it seems easier just to wait for the home video version. That’s why the city of Paris decided to make it possible for everyone to afford a night out at the movies. Le Printemps du Cinéma is a 3-day Springtime movie extravaganza where all ticket prices at all cinemas are 4€. It’s the perfect opportunity to catch up on those Oscar winners you’ve been meaning to see or check out the latest independent French film. See you at the movies!

If experimental film is more your style, the Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin is a festival dedicated to contemporary audiovisual creation. At the crossroads of “new cinema” and contemporary art, the event features documentaries, experimental fiction, video, and many other hybrid forms on the cutting edge of modern audiovisual practices. The program includes screenings and talks with artists and filmmakers from all over the world, including special guest, French director Claire Denis.

48 hours of Urban Agriculture
Here’s a wonderful spring initiative by the City of Paris to encourage urban gardens in the French capital. Thousands of sachets of garden seeds will be handed out this weekend from Parisian bridges and selected locations. If your green thumb is itching, head on over to one of these key points of distribution Saturday or Sunday.
When: Saturday, March 18, 2017 11am – 5pm
Where: The banks of Pont Marie in the 4th arrondissment and at the Maison du Jardinage and Parc de Bercy. 8400 sachets of grains containing a variety of vegetable and herbal seeds, and a selection of spring flowers. Normandy farmers will also distribute linen seeds.
