You’ve been thinking about it for quite some time: GOLF. Do you, can you, swing a club and hit a tiny ball across a big lawn? You won’t know till you try. Signing up for a lesson is the best way to learn how to play golf. It’s not a sport you can naturally pick up, and the last thing you want is to adapt bad habits that are difficult to undo. So find yourself a good golf coach to teach you the important basics.

All golf courses have coaches you can hire by the half hour, or you can sign up for a stage (workshop) to learn how to swing, approach and putt. You should know that you will have to invest time and money for several lessons in order to pass a test to get your “green card.” This permit allows you to play on a golf course.

Stade Français/Le Haras Lupin:

Situated 15 minutes by car southwest of Paris in the commune of Vaucresson (Hauts-de-Seine), this public golf course is open all year round. Golfers can play on a 9-hole course as well as 18-holes (par 32). It is the best deal for all day practice and putting and costs 10€ on weekdays, or 15€ on the weekends to hit as many balls as you want all day. Make the most of it by lunching in the clubhouse; and as you get better, play the 9-hole course.

INSPIRELLE highly recommends golf coach Eric Delebarre, who speaks English and patiently teaches the worst and best of golfers. Eric offers courses to children and adults at the Stade Français Haras Lupin Golf course.
