A native Floridian, Gia de Cadenet took her first French class at age seven and fell in love with the language. After graduating from college and achieving her dream job in politics, the dream of living in France became too difficult to ignore. She put her professional life on hold for two years to get a master’s degree in Paris. But a few short weeks after arrival, she bumped into a red-headed Frenchman and her fate was sealed. Ten years later, she’s balancing new roles as a wife, professor, mother and novelist. Paris was her first French home, but she’s happily traded it for Bordeaux. When she isn’t grading papers or wrangling her children, she’s writing funny, spicy, touching fiction.
