Let’s all be thankful this year for friends and family all over the world.
This year, on the fourth Thursday of November and throughout the weekend, INSPIRELLE is advocating Thanksgiving for everyone! In these turbulent times, it makes sense to honor a tradition created in the spirit of gratitude and togetherness.
To help you plan, here are our top picks to help you celebrate an American-style Thanksgiving in Paris…. whether you want to cook yourself, order from a local caterer, join in a community celebration, or enjoy a feast in a Parisian restaurant. This year, there are many ways to help us celebrate the meaning of living thankfully.

Your local butcher or volailler
Visit your local butcher now and order your dinde. Turkeys in France are smaller than what North Americans are used to. You’re lucky if they can provide you with a 5-7 kg (11-15 lb) bird. And don’t be surprised if the turkey is not exactly as big or small as you ordered. If you know your French butcher well, ask if they will roast your turkey on the spit for you the day you plan your Thanksgiving dinner. Most likely, they’ll be happy to stuff your bird with your homemade stuffing if you bring it to the shop before roasting begins. (P.S.: keep this in mind for your Christmas holiday dinner too!)
For more goodies from the US, check out the classic sides, sauces and ingredients available from My American Shop or La Grande Epicerie.

Hi there, just in case anyone knows: are there vegetarian turkey roast options that can be ordered and delivered (or picked up) in Paris? Our eldest daughter is coming home for Thanksgiving, is vegetarian…
Thanks for any tips! Happy Thanksgiving.
Thank you for such a great article! Does anyone know where I can buy a ready-made Pumpkin Pie please? I’m not a cook. Thank you!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Costco sells big ones for around 6,95 €; I believe you can also order them from the Real McCoy with a few days’ notice.
Hi Susan! How are you? I’ve ordered mine from Gabriella Poupel, an adorable young enterprising Baker and daughter of a girlfriend (Senior in high school), see her website: https://www.gabriellasdelicious.com
She’s done a great job for me in prior years, very professional.
Have also ordered from Real McCoy in the past.
Warm regards,
Deyi

This is so helpful! I love that you included places that serve Thanksgiving meals out. I wrote my own guide to find all the ingredients and cooking supplies for hosting a Thanksgiving in Paris. It also includes the key French expressions you need to say yo the butcher, and even a pre-written letter to your French guests explaining the holiday to them. You can find it here: http://bonjouradventure.com/2017/11/how-to-thanksgiving-in-paris/ I’d love to know what you like to include in your Thanksgiving menu!
Merci Tammy for sharing your guide and your letter for explaining Thanksgiving. It’s a perfect holiday to cross the cultural bridge and bring people together!
