About the Deal
If you’re ready for an escape to the mountains, gather up a few friends and build your own girls’ weekend adventure at the Château de Gère, a petit 14th-century château in the beautiful Vallée d’Ossau. Situated in the foothills of the Pyrénées, this part of southwest France is a hidden gem with a rich culture and history and a lot to offer, from mountain sports to wine and cheese to charming villages and gorgeous scenery. The château is about 35 minutes south of Pau, which has direct trains from Paris, Bordeaux and Toulouse.
Your host is American-born Trish Jasinski, who purchased the château at the end of 2020, trading in her small Paris apartment for a new life in the countryside. She recently left the corporate world to offer retreats and events at the château that create unique and memorable experiences for guests by tapping into the many activities offered in the area while supporting the local community and making sustainable choices.
