Champagne Bulles and Boules
September 23, 2020 @ 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm
What could be more French than a game of pétanque (bocce) and a lovely glass of delicious champagne with friends? If you are new to Paris, or want to catch up with some friends in a fun and friendly environment, why not join champagne expert Cynthia Coutu of Delectabulles for a fun and informative afternoon on a pétanque pitch?
Weather permitting,* Cynthia will meet guests at 14:30 in the pétanque area in the park on Place du Commerce (right outside exit of metro Commerce) in the 15th arrondissement, then sip and play until 17:30.
Cynthia will supply the pétanque balls and explain the rules of the game. All levels are welcome. She will of course bring delicious champagnes, the proper glasses, and spectacular treats to accompany the champagne. She will talk about the different champagnes on hand and about the women behind the bottles, how these champagnes were made, and what makes them special. Between throwing your pétanque balls and cheering for your team members, she will also give you tips about serving, storing, and buying champagne and also explain why champagne is such a food-friendly wine. You will become a pétanque pro AND a champagne pro!
- If you register and we realize the weather will be too nasty and we have to cancel, don’t worry, you will be reimbursed 100%.
- Registration is limited to 10 participants
- A TV crew from France24 may come and film us. Please let Cynthia know if that is a problem for you.
