About Jérôme Jabès and La Maison Jabès

The family Adès-Jabès has been involved in the diamond industry since 1900, first in London, then Anvers, before settling in Paris. Jérôme, a budding 18-year-old medical student, became fascinated by diamonds and quickly joined the family business in Anvers. Although he initially studied and sorted the raw gems that came from the family mines in Guyana (formerly British Guyana), he later focused on the techniques to produce the most beautiful gems based on the colour, size, and cut. In 1983 he received the “Diplômé de Gemmologie et de Design” from the Gemological Institute of America, and subsequently founded the well-known JABÈS Diamantaire & Joaillier in 1983. He is delighted to share his knowledge via online workshops and in-person visits to his atelier.
