With the summer holidays just around the corner, we’re looking for ways to keep our kids engaged this summer. If they can have fun, meet new friends and develop some new skills, then sign us up! ISP Plus offers some innovative and educational programs that fit the bill.

An extension of the International School of Paris (ISP), ISP Plus offers a loving and caring environment where children can polish their language skills while learning something new. From art to computer coding, to sports, jewelry making, IB Diploma prep, or learning to play rock music, you can choose from a wide variety of dynamic activities, in English or in French, for kids aged 3 to 16 during the school holidays!

Centrally located in Paris’ 16th arrondissement, ISP welcomes children from all over the world and strongly believes in the benefits of learning from each other’s differences. The school prides itself on placing students‘ wellbeing at the center of all decisions.

During les vacances and on Saturdays during the academic year, both ISP and non-ISP students can participate in classes which help them develop at least two of the following skills: think critically, embrace culture, communicate clearly, develop creativity, utilize connectivity and work collaboratively. These skills will ensure the holistic development of each child and prepare them for their unique futures.

Holiday Language Program

Throughout the month of July, a Holiday Language Program offers French or English classes, combined with fun activities, allowing children to learn through oral interaction and spontaneous use of language. Days run from 9am to 4pm, and kids are grouped by age and level whenever possible.

Younger kids (ages 3-5) learn through role play, games, songs, musical, sports and arts, as well as field trips. Primary (ages 6-9) and middle school kids (ages 10-12) attend morning language classes and afternoon activities tied to weekly themes, and two field trips per week. Teens (13-16) take more intense language classes, focusing on oral interactions, reading and writing projects, and go on one outing per week.

Creative July Activities

If you’re looking for something less academic, you can sign up your kids (ages 6 -15) for week-long, half-day computer coding classes with Magic Makers on the ISP campus throughout July.

From July 3-7, musically-inclined kids will love the rock music performance program with Rock U. Or, let them explore their creative side in a Jewelry Art and Crochet Workshop with Parisian artist Carole Scholtes. You can even combine two of these half-day activities to build a full-day program for your kiddos.

From July 10-28, children aged 6 to 10 can even learn the basics of building, architecture and mechanics through hands-on LEGO workshops with Play-Well.

Diploma Program Preparatory Workshop

If your child is starting an IB Diploma Program in September and wants to get a head start, you can sign them up for an intensive, two-day Oxford-quality DP preparatory workshop for IB School Students. The workshop, which is limited to 15 students, takes place over two Saturdays and is built around a practical, task-based approach to learning.

Whatever your children’s interests, there’s sure to be a program for them at ISP Plus!
